A digital quality assurance product that local authorities use to improve outcomes for children and young people
The challenge
EHCP quality assurance directly affects the support children and young people receive. But across local authorities, the review process typically runs on spreadsheets, inconsistent interpretation and manual data gathering. That consumes hours of administration time while producing limited visibility into what the data shows. Invision 360 saw an opportunity to change that. Founded by a former Principal Educational Psychologist and Head of SEND, the company understood the pressure facing SEND teams from the inside. The challenge was to build a product that could impose genuine discipline on the audit process, make quality data actionable in real time, and give local authorities a defensible, measurable approach to improving plan quality. Not just another reporting tool bolted onto existing manual processes.
"Their professionalism and expertise in software design and engineering were evident"

Invision 360
Built a step-by-step review process with defined criteria, guided navigation, role-based visibility and consistent data capture. That removes the subjectivity manual auditing allows and gives every contributor a clear, shared definition of quality.
Introduced a moderation layer so audit judgements can be compared, calibrated and reviewed across assessors. SEND teams can be confident that quality scores are consistent and defensible when challenged by Ofsted or senior leadership.
Created reporting that surfaces quality trends, emerging gaps and improvement trajectories in real time. Quality assurance becomes a proactive function that drives targeted training, not a reactive administrative exercise.
The solution
We worked alongside Invision 360 to deliver a digital quality assurance platform built specifically for EHCP auditing. The result is a SaaS product now used by over 60 local authorities to audit, moderate and improve the quality of plans for children and young people.
The outcome
Over 60 local authorities across the UK now use the platform. Early adopters have reported significant improvements in plan quality within months of going live, driven by their own teams using the structured workflows and real-time reporting the software provides. Administration time for quality assurance has dropped substantially, and SEND teams can demonstrate measurable progress to senior leaders and inspectors with confidence. The credit for those outcomes belongs to the local authorities doing the work. The software gave them the structure, the visibility and the data to make it happen.
